Ternopil region is a small area of Western Ukraine. Ternopil region was formed in 1939, after the accession of these lands to the Ukrainian SSR.
Sights of the Ternopil region
The most interesting of Gusyatin's noteworthy features is the colonnade, which was a symbol of the USSR border until 1939. At that time, the western border of the USSR (as well as the Ukrainian SSR, of course) passed along the Zbruch River.
An unusual attraction of the Ternopil region is a cave in the village. Flying Zaleshchytsky district. Usually included in the list of attractions along the Dniester rafting route.
The city of Chortkov, Ternopil region, lies in the picturesque valley of the Seret River, 76 km south of Ternopol. It has quite a few interesting sights . The first written mention dates back to 1522, and the name comes from the name of its owner - Jerzy Chartkowski.
